2024 Week 16 NFL Fantasy Injury Preview

Follow Dr. Edwin Porras on his fantasy football account here and see what his day job is in the Denver area

David Montgomery: MCL

Montgomery got a second and third opinion on his MCL tear and will attempt to rehab instead of electing for surgery. This is possible because the MCL has extraordinary healing ability due to the blood supply it gets. Don’t expect Montgomery back any time, soon though.

Projected Return: NFCCG/Super Bowl

A.J. Brown: Ankle

As expected, Brown isn’t even listed on the injury report with an ankle issue - its a knee issue and rest. Even though he’s not quite 100%, he’s a must-start with increased risk of re-injury.

Projected Return: Week 16

Kenneth Walker III: Calf/Ankle

Walker is the definition of boom/bust this week (per usual) with a lot of the potential for boom in question since Zach Charbonnet will play as well. There are likely better options than either of these guys across the slate - especially in DFS.

Projected Return: Week 16

Zach Ertz: Concussion

I was wrong here and Ertz will likely be active. This is yet another example of veteran brains magically healing faster! Or not. Either way, he’s at high risk to reinjure this week.

Projected Return: Week 16
