General Updates

Rashee Rice - PCL sprain

It turns out Rashee Rice is (likely) dealing with a PCL issue based on the timelines given by Dianna Russini. He’ll undergo a scope of the knee to visualize the damage. At that point, the surgeon will determine if the tear will heal with rest and rehab or if he’ll require surgery.

Rice is on the IR officially now and if he doesn’t require surgery, he could be back by the fantasy playoffs. With surgery he’s done for the season.

The Following FF Relevant Players are out out trending in the wrong direction for Week 5:

Joe Mixon - OUT

Dameon Pierce

Jonathan Taylor

Zamir White

Devin Singletary

Cordarrelle Patterson

Jaylen Warren

Cooper Kupp

Davante Adams - OUT

Trey Palmer - OUT

Jalen McMillan - OUT

Malik Nabers - OUT

Christian Watson

George Kittle

Evan Engram

Anthony Richardson: Hip Pointer

Richardson has been practicing but the team is still giving Joe Flacco first team reps this week. Expect a limited Anthony Richardson. He may not hit his ceiling this week so look elsewhere for GPP/tournaments.

Advice: N/A

Projected Return: Week 5-6

Christian Watson: High Ankle

Watson got rolled up on and his left foot stayed planted in a classic high ankle mechanism. Like I mentioned on Twitter, these injuries can vary widely but given the fact that nearly half don’t miss more than a week, there’s still some optimism.

Advice: N/A

Projected Return: Week 7–9

Jonathan Taylor: High Ankle

Let’s unpack JT’s ankle history:

Injury history matters. This is where the concern for JT comes in. At best, this is of the Joe Mixon variety and JT misses just 1-2 weeks.

On average though, NFL RBs of his caliber miss 2.7 games. Further, 34% miss 0-1 games but 50% miss 2+ games. We’ll wait to see what JT does since he’s been a warrior, however his history is concerning. Monitor practice reports.

Advice: Hold

Projected Return: Week 7–9

Brian Robinson Jr. - Knee

Robinson hasn’t practiced as of Friday but is “trending in the right direction”. Data tells us there’s a 42% chance he plays so fire up your Austin Ekeler as a contingency and watch the inactives.

Advice: Hold

Projected Return: Week 5-6/TBD

Nick Chubb ACL

Chubb returned to practice this week but it isn’t clear whether he’ll play yet. That would be a bit of a surprise. If he is active, he is not play-able yet.

Advice: Hold

Projected Return: Week 7-8
