Week 6 Preview

Joe Mixon: High Ankle

Anticipate Mixon to provide an OK floor, but he is not likely to win your week. RBs coming off this injury see about a 15% dip in fantasy points despite maintaining tier volume. Their Week Winner Rate is also bad at just 8%.

Zack Moss: Foot

On the official report, Moss was listed with a “foot” issue rather than a high ankle. This changes things a bit but still makes him vulnerable to re-injury. If this is a midfoot injury, he’ll need to avoid aggravating it, which could still mean more volume for Chase Brown.

Devin Singletary: Groin

Singletary has been limited all week, with a groin issue that kept him out last week. When asked about whether he was ready, the Giants said, “We’ll see.” Generally speaking, guys in this situation will play, but given how well Tyrone Tracy looked in Week 5, the Giants could look to take their time with Singletary.

Projected Return: Week 6-7

Advice: Start Tyrone Tracy

Christian Watson: Medial Ankle Sprain

These injuries aren’t quite as severe as high ankle sprains but somewhat similar. Expect approximately 10-15% shaved off of expectation from Watson’s production. However, like, we’ve seen with him before, all it takes is one big play or touchdown for him to pay off.

Projected Return: Week 6

Advice: Start most places as boom/bust

Michael Pittman: Back

Strangely, Pittman was back at practice after rumors were floating around that he was an IR candidate. Still, this situation is volatile, and until we see he’s active and healthy, he’s not a must-start.

Projected Return: Week 6/TBD

Advice: Not a must-start

AJ Brown: Hamstring

Hamstring injuries don’t take a ton of a WR’s juice upon returning but recurrence is an issue. The only place Brown shouldn’t be used is in cash games this week.

Projected Return: Week 6

Advice: Avoid in cash

James Cook: Toe

Schefter reports that James Cook will try to play despite the toe injury. Lower expectations and keep Ray Davis rostered and ready to roll.

Projected Return: Week 8-9

Advice: Add Ray Davis

Evan Engram: Hamstring

After a long absence, Engram looks like he will be back. He’s boom/bust but a must-start in most leagues, given the ongoing state of the position.
