2023 Week 14 Streaming D/STs

We’ve made it, streaming family. Together, we rode up and down the waiver wire highway. It was picking up DSTs vs. the lamest of QBs and adding pass rushers who could thwart backup offensive linemen. Scooping secondaries that were ready to pick off errant throws from Average Joes. Ah, what a year. I’m so proud to have written these articles for you and shared them with the Fantasy Points Nation. It’s been a pleasure.

But wait, you didn’t think we were done after one sappily written opening, did you? Hell no. We’ve got the playoffs to think about. We need to nail this Week 14 pick and set ourselves up for a title run. As the great American poet Bruce Springsteen once penned, “It’s a town full of losers, and we’re pulling out of here to win.”

Let’s go clinch a playoff spot!

Drake’s Top 7 DSTs, Week 14

  1. Green Bay @ NYG
  2. New Orleans vs. CAR
  3. Houston @ NYJ
  4. New England @ PIT
  5. Minnesota @ LV
  6. Indianapolis @ CIN
  7. Atlanta vs. TB

Green Bay Packers (GB, 18%) – The Packers DST looked up to the challenge against the Chiefs on SNF. As we advance, the Pack might have the best schedule of any team in the league. That starts with Week 14 at the Giants, who are the best possible matchup for any opposing defense. They follow that with dates against Tampa Bay, Carolina, and Minnesota. Whew, baby.

New Orleans Saints (NO, 42%) – The Saints have fallen off considerably, but this is all about the opponent, Carolina. These Panthers are a streamer's dream. Three of the last five teams to lineup against the Panthers have scored double-digit points. Two of them scored over 20. Allowing 15 sacks over their previous three games is just another knock on this Carolina squad.

Houston Texans (LV, 13%) – Fresh off a three-sack and three-interception contest against Denver, the Texans travel to MetLife for a date with Trevor Siemian and the Jets. I have zero faith that the Jets will find any way to move the football, so Houston should be good for a handful of sacks and a pick or two. Houston’s next four games are incredible: @NYJ, @TEN, vs CLE, vs TEN.

New England Patriots (NE, 23%) – Three straight games allowing 10 points or less and losing all three. Damn. They are playing great team defense, even if they failed to record sacks in two of three games. This comes down to Mitch Trubisky on the other side. He stinks. You don’t need some statistical breakdown of him if you’ve had a set of eyes for the past few years.

Minnesota Vikings (MIN, 14%) – Coming off their bye, the Vikings face a Raiders offense that is beyond inconsistent. In one week, the Raiders can throw three picks. The next, they play a clean game with no turnovers and just one sack. That’s why I don’t love this pick, but sometimes choices are slim.

Indianapolis Colts (IND, 31%) – This Colts unit has four consecutive double-digit outings. They’ve sacked opposing QBs 12 times over the past two games. Their special teams are clicking (and scoring) to boot. With the return of starting nose tackle Grover Stewart this week, the Colts' run defense could stymie Joe Mixon and the Bengals.

Atlanta Falcons (HOU, 50%) – The Falcons came through last week as advertised with four sacks and three takeaways. This week, they’ll face a Bucs team that can easily turn the ball over and, outside of playing the Panthers, takes their fair share of sacks. The Falcons' upcoming playoff schedule is insane: @ Carolina, vs Indy, @ Chicago.
