On theTwo-Point Stance Podcast, which I do weekly with Joe Dolan, we have an expression for this time of year. We say it’s “nut-cutting time.”
In Week 13, that means you can’t mess around. Points are at a premium. Every stone must be overturned to scrap together the best possible fantasy lineup. With six teams on bye, including three of the top 15 units, the wire will be hit hard.
TEAMS ON BYE IN WEEK 13
Baltimore Ravens, Buffalo Bills, Chicago Bears, Las Vegas Raiders, Minnesota Vikings, New York Giants
Drake’s Top 5 DSTs to ADD for Week 13

- LA Chargers @ NE
If you have any FAAB left
Atlanta Falcons (ATL, 10%) – The Falcons are playing the Jets. That’s all you need to know. Add them.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers (LV, 30%) – This is a streamer's dream — the awful Carolina Panthers, at home under the Florida sun. Carolina has allowed double digits to three of the last four defensive units they’ve faced. Even worse, they’ve given up at least three sacks in every contest since Week 5. Fire up Tampa and enjoy the ride.
Scoop and Score
Los Angeles Rams (LAR, 7%) – Hosting the Browns used to seem scary. Now, it’s a steady diet of backup QBs and turnovers from Cleveland. Sunday saw the Browns allow four sacks, a safety, and three lost fumbles. Whoever is under center for Cleveland will have Aaron Donald and friends licking their chops.
Overlooked and Undervalued
Jacksonville Jaguars (LV, 33%) – The first-place Jags are playing good football and should continue to wreak havoc against Jake Browning and the Bengals. Cincy has major trouble scoring and has allowed nine sacks over the last two games.
Los Angeles Chargers (LAC, 15%) – Do we trust Brandon Staley’s crew? Never. Do we want to start defenses against Bailey Zappe? You’re damn right. The Patriots allow the second most points to the DST position.
DFS Plays on DraftKings
Miami ($3900) @ WAS – It's the perfect recipe for sacks and turnovers when a team drops back as much as the Commanders do. It's a high price, but we can tell a story about why it’s worthwhile.
Steelers ($3800) vs ARI – Kyler Murray has taken seven sacks in two weeks. I think T.J. Watt and company get that by themselves.
Falcons ($3400) @ NYJ – Seven sacks a week ago, SEVEN. Any time a team is in this pathetic on offense, you just close your eyes and click the name on the other side regardless.
Saints ($2700) vs DET – Nobody will play New Orleans vs Detroit. But the Lions have turned the ball over seven times and taken five sacks over the last two weeks.
Lions ($3000) @ NO – I have a feeling we see Derek Carr drop back 35 times, and that’s always good news for opposing defenses.
