Week 6 Streaming DSTs

In Week 5, all 3 of our streaming DSTs hit in the top 10 (#3, #8, and #10). Let’s dive into this week’s streaming options. As always, we’re looking for under 50% rostered in Yahoo! leagues.

Miami Dolphins (Mia, 2%) @ NYJ

We always love to pick on dysfunctional offenses, and the Jets fit that bill. They continue to provide the best production to opposing defenses. Miami’s D just came off a top-5 finish on the road against the 49ers, and now face a Gang Green team averaging just 14 points per game, and allowing 3 sacks per game. Miami’s D is starting to heat up, with 11 sacks, 4 INTs, and 2 fumble recoveries in their last 3 games. They’ve held the 49ers to 17 points and the Jaguars to 13 with a Seattle 31-point game in between.

New York Giants (NYG, 1%) Was

What happens when two of the weakest offenses in the league square off? DST Waiver wire gold is what happens. Washington’s offense ranks dead last in yards per game (263) and 30th in points per game (17.8), and surrenders 4 sacks per game (including 8 to the Rams last week). The Giants D has at least 2 sacks in each game, and has 3 INTs and 3 fumble recoveries so far. I’m sure they’re excited to see Kyle Allen this week.

Washington Football Team (WAS, 7%) @ NYG

On the other sideline stands an offense that is 30th in yards per game (282) but somehow even worse than Washington in points per game (16.2). Let’s put it this way: Dallas may have the worst defense in the league, and they still finished in the top-10 in Week 5 due to Daniel Jones and his propensity for taking sacks and losing footballs. Washington’s fearsome D-line - highlighted by Chase Young - already has 15 sacks on the year, and their secondary has 5 INTs.

Vegas gives the Giants the edge here, so if you need a tiebreaker for ranking these two in your waiver orders, I’d lean Giants for points allowed and Washington for sacks/turnovers.
