NFL Picks

With Week 8 here, we have a packed slate because there are no byes! This will be one of the fullest weekends of the year for all of the projections available on PrizePicks, so that means there are plenty of opportunities for users to make diverse lineups. Here are the players you should be sliding into those spots.

Amon-Ra St. Brown (WR, DET)
  • Fantasy Score (Standard) — MORE

  • PrizePicks: 16.5

  • Fantasy Points: 18.34

Fantasy Points has been KILLING IT when it comes to accuracy this season for fantasy points projections. We keep it going here and go with MORE on St. Brown’s Fantasy Score projection. Tennessee has been a tough secondary all season, so take advantage of that bringing St. Brown’s projection down. St. Brown has already gone over 20 FPTS four times this season and has a big advantage, according to the Fantasy Points WR/CB Matchup Report.

Derrick Henry (RB, BLT)
  • Fantasy Score (Standard) — MORE

  • PrizePicks: 16.5

  • Fantasy Points: 17.63

Henry has been the most valuable player in fantasy this season no matter the league type. He ranks 1st in WAR across all six leagues that Fantasy Points tracks. There is some unknown going against a new-look Cleveland offense, but I am not going against the KING. Look for Baltimore to feed Henry against a defense that has quietly been one of the best matchups for RBs on the season.

Garrett Wilson (WR, NYJ)
  • Receptions (Standard) — MORE

  • PrizePicks: 5.0

  • Fantasy Points: 6.3

Wilson has only had fewer than 5 receptions once this season and still commanded a healthy target share with Davate Adams now lining up opposite of him (5 receptions on 9 targets). Adams could certainly draw more looks this week, but I do not expect it to be at Wilson’s expense.

Aaron Rodgers (QB, NYJ)
  • Passing Yards (Standard) — MORE

  • PrizePicks: 240.5

  • Fantasy Points: 265.3

I am double-dipping on the Jets with Rodgers, but the projection is just too good to pass up. Rodgers has gone over the projection in four out of the last five games. This is one of the largest differences in projections across all players in Week 8. Look for Rodgers and the Jets' offense to have a get-right game against the Patriots.

Joe Mixon (RB, HST)
  • Rush Yards (Standard) — MORE

  • PrizePicks: 79.5

  • Fantasy Points: 98.1

Houston has made it clear that as long as Mixon is in the game, they are going to make him a focal point of the offense. He has easily surpassed his projection in three out of four games this season. Another 90-strength projection, according to the tool, I like both starting RBs (assuming Jonathan Taylor starts) to produce more than their projections in this game between the Texans and Colts.

Additional Picks

Looking for some other options for the week?

Jared Goff (QB, DET)
  • Pass Yards (Goblin) — MORE

  • PrizePicks: 199.5

  • Fantasy Points: 251.9

Goff is on a tear right now. I don’t think Tennessee is stopping this train.

Kyle Pitts (TE, ATL)
  • Receiving Yards (Demon) — MORE

  • PrizePicks: 49.5

  • Fantasy Points: 55.1

Stop me if you have heard this before, but Pitts looks like he might be finally fulfilling his potential. Aside from his Week 3 goose egg against the Chiefs, Pitts has exceeded this projection in four of his last five games. This is the highest score for any of the demon and yards projections on the tool this week, and the Bucs defense does not scare me.

D’Andre Swift (RB, CHI)
  • Rush Yards (Goblin) — MORE

  • PrizePicks: 39.5

  • Fantasy Points: 66.7

Few projections drew my eyes faster than this one. The Commanders have given up plenty on the ground this season and Swift has flipped the switch since Week 3 going for 93, 73, and 91 rushing yards in his last three games. Coming off the bye, this is a perfect time to take advantage of this projection.
