Daniel got into football analytics when Football Outsiders launched in 2003, and has played and analyzed a variety of dynasty, DFS, best ball, and redraft formats. He hung out on the FootballGuys forums and then fantasy Twitter before joining the Fantasy Points team. Along the way, he had a three-year run as a profitable DFS player before giving up the grind, and made three FBG Subscriber Contest finals.
He likes to understand the gaps between what we can measure and what we care about and to create things that ought to exist, whether that involves building prospect models, doing yards after contact tracking (before PFF came around), evaluating the data quality of pro day measurements, or analyzing contest structures.
