The Falcons are trading Ridder to Arizona in exchange for wide receiver Rondale Moore, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.

The Falcons are expected to trade Ridder following the signing of Kirk Cousins to a four-year contract worth up to $180 million, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

Ridder figures to be relegated to a backup role with the Falcons set to sign Kirk Cousins, per the team's official website.

Ridder completed 22 of 30 passes for 291 yards with two touchdowns and one interception and netted no gain on two carries in the Falcons' 48-17 loss to the Saints on Sunday. He also lost a fumble.

Ridder will serve as Atlanta's starting quarterback for Sunday's game against the Saints, Tori McElhaney of the Falcons' official site reports.

Ridder will be replaced by Taylor Heinicke as Atlanta's starting quarterback Sunday versus the Colts, Josh Kendall of The Athletic reports.

Ridder completed 12 of 20 passes for 157 yards with one touchdown and one interception and netted minus-2 yards on five rush attempts in the Falcons' 9-7 loss to the Panthers on Sunday. He also committed a fumble recovered by Atlanta.

Ridder completed 26 of 40 passes for 347 yards with one touchdown and one interception in the Falcons' 29-25 loss to the Buccaneers on Sunday. He also rushed four times for 15 yards and another score, committed two fumbles and lost one, and threw a two-point conversion pass.

Ridder completed 12 of 27 passes for 121 yards and one touchdown in Sunday's 13-8 win over the Jets. He also had zero yards on three rushing attempts.

Ridder completed 13 of 21 passes for 168 yards with a touchdown and two interceptions and added 30 rushing yards on seven carries in the Falcons' 24-15 win over the Saints on Sunday.

Head coach Arthur Smith confirmed Monday that Ridder will reclaim starting quarterback duties Sunday against the Saints, and the Falcons plan to stick with the second-year signal-caller as their starter for the rest of the season, Michael Rothstein of ESPN.com reports.

The Falcons are expected to go forward with Ridder as the starter beginning Week 12 versus the Saints, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

Ridder completed four of six passes for 39 yards and gained 11 rushing yards and a touchdown on three carries after replacing Taylor Heinicke (hamstring) in the fourth quarter of Sunday's 25-23 loss to the Cardinals.

Head coach Arthur Smith announced earlier in the week that Ridder will remain in a backup role Sunday against the Cardinals while Taylor Heinicke gets a second straight turn as the Falcons' starting quarterback, Michael Rothstein of ESPN.com reports. "We will go with Taylor this week," Smith said. "And reassess going into the [Week 11] bye."

Falcons head coach Arthur Smith was non-committal Monday when asked whether Ridder would start Atlanta's Week 9 game against the Vikings, Jeff Schultz of The Athletic reports. "We have to see where he's at. That's the best answer I can give you," Smith said about Ridder. "Have to see where he's at. ... We have to find a way to win this game."

Ridder completed eight of 12 passes for 71 yards, no touchdowns and no interceptions in Sunday's 28-23 loss to the Titans. He added three rushes for 26 yards.

Ridder completed 19 of 25 passes for 250 yards without a touchdown or interception in Sunday's 16-13 win over the Buccaneers. He added six carries for 38 yards and a touchdown while fumbling three times, losing all three.

Ridder completed 28 of 47 passes for 307 yards, two touchdowns and three interceptions during Sunday's 24-16 loss to the Commanders. He also rushed twice for 18 yards.

Ridder completed 28 of 37 passes for 329 yards with a touchdown and no interceptions and added four carries for 10 yards and another score in the Falcons' 21-19 win over the Texans on Sunday.
