The Vikings placed Griffen (personal) on the reserve/non-football illness list Friday, Eric Smith of the team's official site reports.
Griffen is away from the Vikings after mental health and law enforcement officials were called to his residence Wednesday afternoon, the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports. Griffen was "transported (to where he can get) to the necessary resources and professionals that he needs to be with," said Vikings general manager Rick Spielman.
Griffen got the start at defensive end opposite Danielle Hunter and had two sacks, three QB hits and four tackles in Sunday's win over Detroit. Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer had said Griffen would come off the bench, but he elevated to him as a starter over D,J. Wonnum due to his recent play, the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.
Griffen (concussion) will play Sunday against Seattle, according to Chris Tomasson of the St. Paul Pioneer Press.
Griffen (concussion) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Vikings, Courtney Cronin of ESPN.com reports.
Griffen (concussion) didn't practice Thursday.
Griffen had a QB hit and QB hurry, according to Pro Football Focus, but no tackles in Sunday's overtime loss at Cincinnati.
The Vikings re-signed Griffen on Thursday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
Griffin was released by the Vikings on Tuesday.
Minnesota will sign Griffen to a contract Monday, Chris Tomasson of the Twin Cities Pioneer Press reports.
Griffen will work out for Minnesota on Wednesday, the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.
