2024 CFB Season-Long PrizePicks Props

Week 2 of college football props is known as overcorrection week. Books align the props too closely to what happened in a single game and don't account for the full scope of a situation. It’s the perfect opportunity to take advantage of the board on PrizePicks and Underdog as mistakes are made, and we’re here to help you take full advantage.

This is just the start of the content we’ll have for the CFB season, as every week, we’ll have:

  • DFS (Articles & Livestream)

  • Player Props Articles

  • Matchup Reports

  • Projections

  • Rankings

  • and MORE!

Take advantage of the CFB benefits included in the expanded College Football Package in 2024!

Now, back to why you clicked on this article: player props. There’s plenty of value on the board, so let’s hop right into our top plays!

PrizePicks

PrizePicks is a fantasy site and app that allows you to construct a card of between 2-6 props. With so many selections available, the board has a ton of value if you know where to look.

Here’s where some of that value is:

Zachariah Branch UNDER 5 receptions - PrizePicks (WR, USC)

Just once in 13 games played in his career, Zachariah Branch surpassed five receptions. And that was six in a late-season matchup last year with UCLA. The former 5-star is electric with the football and undoubtedly one of the best playmakers on the Trojans roster. However, this is a USC offense under head coach Lincoln Riley that has consistently spread the ball around to 6-7 different receivers over the last several years. Five different receivers ran 20 or more routes in a competitive matchup last Sunday with USC. We expect even more wideouts to get playing time, with the Trojans being a heavy favorite over Utah State. If this number gets to 4.5, we might consider fading it, but five catches is a safe bet to either go under or, at the very least, push.

Kaleb Brown UNDER 32.5 receiving yards - PrizePicks (WR, Iowa)

Kaleb Brown returns from suspension this week after an offseason DUI arrest. He was Iowa’s best playmaker down the stretch last season with 22 receptions, hitting over this number in three of the final five games. That said, Brown is listed as a backup on this week’s depth chart in his return to the field and likely won’t start. Iowa beat writers have also hinted at Brown not playing the full allotment of snaps this week in his first playing time of the season. You’re telling me an Iowa receiver won’t play the entire game? Give me the under every single time.

Colston Loveland OVER 3.5 receptions - Underdog (TE, Michigan)

If Michigan can get just average quarterback play this season, Colston Loveland will have a Brock Bowers-like impact in 2024. Nine targets in the opener – four more than any other Michigan pass-catcher – with 87 yards and a touchdown. Unlike Fresno State last week, the Wolverines will likely be forced to throw the ball more than usual as Michigan is in a circumstance they haven’t faced in over a year - being the underdog. We have Loveland projected around six receptions and one of the more significant edges of the week.

Jeremiah Hunter UNDER 72.5 receiving yards - PrizePicks (WR, Washington)

Zip, zero, nada, goose-egg. That’s how many receptions Jeremiah Hunter had last week against Weber State. The former California transfer played most of the game with 53 offensive snaps and ran the second-most routes on the team with 32. But those routes were essentially wind sprints, as Hunter was targeted only once that day. Meanwhile, fellow starting receivers Denzel Boston and Giles Jackson combined for 174 yards and a touchdown on 18 targets between the two of them. The competition level doesn’t increase much this week against Eastern Michigan, but it appears very evident that Hunter is the third option at best in the passing game.

Avery Johnson OVER 50.5 rushing yards - PrizePicks (QB, Kansas State)

This selection is from our friend and teammate at Fantasy Points, Mr. Eric Froton, the King of CFB player props. Kansas State sophomore phenom Avery Johnson served as the team’s Wildcat/short yardage quarterback last year in relief of previous starter Will Howard. With the job now all to himself, Johnson will look to build upon his 52 carry, 296-yard, 5.7 YPC and seven touchdowns he accrued on the ground in 2023. Last week, Kansas State overmatched UT-Martin 41-6, with Johnson gaining just 37 yards on three attempts. While that 12.3 YPC average will drop, Johnson should easily see 8-12 attempts and cross the 50.5 rushing mark.

Additional plays we like but do not love
  • TE Luke Hasz, Arkansas - Over 2.5 receptions

  • QB Behren Morton, Texas Tech - Over 250.5 passing yards

  • WR Trebor Pena, Syracuse - Over 3.5 receptions

  • QB Blake Shapen, Mississippi State - Over 220.5 passing yards

  • WR Kevin Coleman, Mississippi State - Over 39.5 receiving yards

  • WR Cam Coleman, Penn State - Over 33.5 receiving yards

  • TE Joe Royer, Cincinnati - Over 0.5 TD (3.12x)
